(Clarksville, TN) -- Create economic prosperity. Facilitate community leadership. Lead Middle Tennessee’s largest business federation. From the helm of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, these lofty goals are on Ralph Schulz’ daily agenda.
On May 28, the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce President & CEO will participate in the 4th Annual Growth Summit presented by the Clarksville-Montgomery County Economic Development Council. With his signature no-nonsense approach, audience members will walk away inspired by his viewpoints and tactics that drive economic and community development – from the establishment of a skilled workforce to leadership engagement.
Together, Nashville and Clarksville are among a small number of adjacent metro regions in the country and represent one of the most dynamic and growing areas in the country. Schulz will discuss the advantages of interconnected communities and ways to leverage the unique relationship.
“Focus is Ralph’s talent. As business and community leaders, we are often pulled in many directions and it is easy to lose sight of where we are headed, and sometimes easy to overlook the resources we have in one another,” said Cal Wray, Executive Director of the Clarksville-Montgomery County Economic Development Council. “Ralph understands the economic opportunity in leveraging the relationship between Nashville and Clarksville-Montgomery County and zeroes in on the issues that are most impactful to the growth of both areas.”
Now in its fourth year, the Clarksville-Montgomery County Growth Summit is designed for business and community leaders to gain insight into the critical issues and strategies for economic development in the region, to build upon existing momentum and ultimately increase the area’s potential growth trajectory.
Other featured speakers include Greg Adkins of the Tennessee Tourism and Hospitality Association and keynote Grey Swoope of VisionFirst Advisors. In his role as Florida Secretary of Commerce, Mr. Swoope created over 728,000 private sector jobs in fewer than four years.
A panel discussion will explore challenges and solutions in recruitment of direct foreign investments and the local assimilation of an international workforce.
The 4th Annual Clarksville Montgomery County Growth Summit will be held on May 28 from 7:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the APSU Morgan Center Ballroom. Registration is $40, inclusive of breakfast and lunch. Pre-registration is required and seating is limited.
