Corporate Business Park Designated as AT&T Fiber Ready

As part of AT&T’s continuing efforts to drive economic development and investment in Tennessee, AT&T and representatives from the Clarksville-Montgomery County Economic Development Council and the City of Clarksville today announced that the Clarksville-Montgomery County Corporate Business Park, which includes Business Park South and Business Park North, has been designated AT&T Fiber Ready.

The AT&T Fiber Ready designation helps economic development leaders more effectively position their communities for site selection by emphasizing the availability of high-speed, fiber-based services.

In today’s world, connectivity is vital to new employers and businesses of every type.

“This designation will help raise awareness about the infrastructure and benefits of Montgomery County’s Industrial Parks with prospective companies and site selection consultants around the world,” said House Speaker Pro Tem Curtis Johnson. “As our economy continues to head in the right direction, it is due in large part to a focus on smart policies that enable investments like these.”

“We live in a fast paced, modern world where being ‘Fiber Ready’ is critical to success for our businesses and our communities across Tennessee,” said Sen. Mark Green. “We have many wonderful aspects to attract businesses looking to locate or move, and having the designation as Fiber Ready is a key tool in the toolbox to emphasize that we are ready to face the challenges of a modern economy.”

AT&T has been deploying high-speed, fiber-optic infrastructure across the state for years, totaling more than 1.7 million strand miles of fiber-optics to date. The AT&T Fiber Ready designation is a tool for economic development leaders to highlight the assets available in their facilities.

“Access to fiber-optic infrastructure has helped Montgomery County businesses stay connected, be more successful and create jobs for many years,” said Cal Wray, executive director, Clarksville-Montgomery County Economic Development Council. “I am grateful for the leadership of our local and state elected officials who have created a positive, pro-investment environment. With the AT&T Fiber Ready designation, we will be better able to tout the high-speed connectivity that helps drive business success.”

“For years, AT&T has invested in Tennessee to deliver high-speed Internet in urban and rural areas all across the state using the latest wired and wireless technologies, and this announcement offers an opportunity to highlight AT&T’s fiber infrastructure in the Clarksville-Montgomery County Business Park – infrastructure that is helping local businesses drive job creation,” said Kathy Sager, regional director of external and legislative affairs, AT&T Tennessee. “AT&T Tennessee’s employees are working hard every day to deploy our fiber-based network that delivers the high-speed Internet access that Tennessean’s want and need, and the fiber optic connectivity that is available in the Clarksville-Montgomery Park is in place to meet the communications needs of businesses of all sizes.”
