Mike Evans is the Executive Director of the Montgomery County Industrial Development Board, a position he has held since October 1999. As the Executive Director, he is responsible for recruiting new business to the area and marketing the Clarksville-Montgomery County Corporate Business. Mike also works extensively with existing industry on workforce training, expansion plans, and other needs. Mike is a graduate of Austin Peay State University where he earned a B.S. in Accounting. Prior to his work with the Industrial Development Board, Mike had a successful 23-year career with the Zinc Plant as their Comptroller. A Clarksville native, Mike started his career over 30 years ago with the public accounting firm, Stone & Rudolph.

Originally from the Atlanta area, Robin joined the Economic Development Council staff in the summer of 2010 as the Vice President of Marketing & Communications. After serving nearly five years in that role, she took on the position of Director of Economic Development with the IDB in February 2015. Robin is a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a B.A. degree in Journalism. She's worked throughout her career in the economic development, marketing, communications, publishing and advertising industries. She has experience working at the national and local level on marketing and recruitment projects.

JC came to Clarksville from the small town of Dyersburg,Tenn. by way of Austin Peay State University where he obtained a B.S. degree in Public Management. JC recently obtained his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Bethel University. He has worked over nine years in the customer service field for various companies in different positions. His role at the IDB has him working closely with consultants and our state partners in gathering, organizing and presenting pertinent information for potential corporate clients.

Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam, the Department of Economic and Community Development and LG Electronics Inc. officials today announced the company will build a new home appliance manufacturing facility in Clarksville. The global manufacturer, with headquarters in South Korea, is a leader in appliances, electronics and mobile devices. LG will invest $250 million in the facility, creating at least 600 new jobs in Montgomery County.

The Clarksville metropolitan statistical area (MSA) ranked 19th in the nation for fastest job growth. A report released today from 24/7 Wall St., a Delaware-based financial news company, studied employment and job growth from October 2015 to October 2016 for 387 metro areas and announced the top 25 U.S. cities.
